Keep a steady pace

Moving beyond the newborn period means your baby is probably becoming very efficient with feedings. Remember to continue to pace Baby during bottle feedings to keep feedings around 15-20 minutes. Just because your baby can drink quickly does not mean they should. Fast feedings can lead to more gas and fussiness, and possibly more spit ups. Even if your baby seems starving, make it a priority to pace their feeding. Take your time feeding your baby to set a precedent for your little one as they get older that they should eat slowly based on their own hungry and full signals.
