Mental Exercise and Sensory Nutrition

Your baby is growing more and more curious about the world around them. You may find that your fussy little one starts to settle down when you leave the house or even just go outside. Everything is interesting and new and gives them opportunities for mental exercise and sensory nutrition that helps their development and also their disposition. There’s an outdated belief that overstimulation can be bad for babies, but you can test this theory out for yourself. They’re searching for that sensory experience and are taking in all of the new sights and sounds. Bringing your baby to a children’s museum, a park, or out on a trail can be very enriching for them. If your baby is turning their head away and fussing try moving into a new area and see how they respond. They might have just needed a change of scenery.
